The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has noted the latest offer from Eskom. There are two options that Eskom presented to the unions which are options A and B. The NUM is taking the latest offer back to its members to give us a mandate as to whether they accept or reject the offer. Eskom is proposing a three-year wage agreement.

Eskom latest wage offers are as follows:

Option A

2018-7% and house allowance at CPI
2019-7% and house allowance at CPI
2020-7% and house allowance at CPL

Option B

2018-7,5%
2019-7%
2020- 7%

Please note that Option B comes without a housing allowance.

The wage negotiations will reconvene on the 27th of July 2018 and the unions will report back to plenary the mandate from our members.
