NUM supports Numsa strike starting today

posted on
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) fully support the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) in their strike fighting for a living wage.

The NUM support Numsa in their fight to close the apartheid wage gap, fighting for equity in the workplace and demanding a Living Wage.

As the NUM, we are saying that it is important for the working class to continue fighting for a living wage because they are among the most oppressed and exploited proletarians in the world. It is important for the working class to continue fighting for better salaries and better working conditions.

About Us
The National Union of Mineworkers was founded in 1982.

Its birth was facilitated by comrades Cyril Ramaphosa who rose to be its first General Secretary, James Motlatsi who turned to be its first President, and Elijah Barayi who became its Vice President and later the President of Cosatu in 1985 when the federation was formed. porn
