The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will embark on a protest march against AngloGold Ashanti Head Office in Johannesburg on Saturday (05 August 2017). The march is against the company’s decision to issue Section 189 process to retrench 8 500 workers at its operations in Matlosana and Carletonville region.
The Protest March will take place as follows :

Time 10H00 to 14H00
The protest march will be in Newtown at Newtown Park, corner Miriam Makeba & Helen Joseph Street.
