NUM signed a three-year wage agreement with Northam Platinum

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) yesterday signed a three-year wage with Northam Platinum mine to implement adjustments to the existing wage agreement.

The NUM represents the majority of employees in the company's bargaining units, categories 2-8 (surface and underground workers) and 9-10 (artisans, miners and officials)

WAGES

The basic monthly minimum rate of the employees in bargaining unit (cat 2-8) to increase in the following.

NUM members at Northam Platinum are very pleased and excited that the wage agreement was concluded without any strike, violence, intimidation and loss of life.
