PRESS STATEMENT, 03 January 2019

NUM Free State Region welcomes the removal or transfer of the Eskom Free State General Manager

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Free State Region welcomes the removal or transfer of Free State Eskom General Manager Lindi Mthombeni. It has been our plea as the NUM members in the Free State Region that we have lost trust in her because she never delivered as the General Manager.

"We are shocked that she is now acting on a higher position within Eskom, while she did not help us in Free State when she was still the General Manager. We hope Eskom GCE Phakamani Hadebe will monitor her fully based on our grievances," said Isaac Mtshotwana, NUM Free State Deputy Regional Secretary.

About Us
The National Union of Mineworkers was founded in 1982.

Its birth was facilitated by comrades Cyril Ramaphosa who rose to be its first General Secretary, James Motlatsi who turned to be its first President, and Elijah Barayi who became its Vice President and later the President of Cosatu in 1985 when the federation was formed. porn
