NUM welcomes the Competition Commission recommendation on job losses at Optimum Coal Mine.
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) welcomes the Competition Commission recommendation that the proposed merger between Tegeta Exploration and Resources (Pty) Ltd and Optimum Coal Mine (Pty) Ltd and six others must be approved on condition that that the merging parties will not retrench any employees of the target firms as a result of the merger.

NUM members to embark on a strike at LafargeHolcim
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will embark on a protected industrial action for all members working in all operations of the LafargeHolcim around the country.
