The NUM National Women Structure (NUM-WS) commend the progress made by the Nigerian government, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, regarding the release of 82 school girls who were abducted by the infamous and sexually immoral Nigerian Group called “Boko Haram“.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has noted a statement by Eskom Board Chairperson Ben Ngubane saying plans unveiled in March this year to decommission five coal-fired power station were not set in stone and could be shelved depending on economic growth and other factors. Ngubane was being interviewed by Reuters on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on Africa last week Thursday in Durban.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) General Secretary David Sipunzi will visit Hendrina and Kriel Power Stations tomorrow (06 April 2017) in Mpumalanga to address mass meetings. The first mass meeting will be at Hendrina Power Station at 9:30 am and the second mass meeting will be at 1 pm at Kriel Power Station. 

The National Union of Mineworkers Youth Structure (NUM-YS) held its normal monthly National Office Bearers (NOBs) meeting at NUM head office on the 31st March 2017 where the meeting dealt with all matters affecting young workers within and outside the NUM.
