RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting and organising of members
Drive campaigns as directed by the organisation
Collective Bargaining
Case handling and case management
Handle Health and Safety matters
Submitting Reports to Regional Coordinators
Capacity building of shop stewards
Effective liaison with all stakeholders
Organisational Building.
BASIC SALARY: R136 240.00-R264 416.00(plus benefits)
REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR: MATLOSANA X1
REQUIREMENTS
Matric plus diploma in office administration
Sound understanding of trade union movement
Good communication and writing skills
Advanced computer literacy
Good customer relations and impressive telephone etiquette

RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing administration of the regional office
Coordination of document processing e.g. typing, faxing, photocopying, e-mailing and preparation of reports binding and distribution of documentation.
Scheduling of meetings and diary management
Ordering stationery for cost Centre
Administrative management of organizational activities in the region
Coordination of meetings and performing relevant tasks related thereto
Financial management.

JB MARKS OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
REQUIREMENTS

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the process for developing the meeting agenda
Prepares and Prints meeting documentation
Attends meetings as a scribe and ensures that the minutes and the matters arising are completed within the specified timelines
Schedules of meetings
Administers the S&T claims
Prepares part of the Trustees meeting pack
Provides support to Principal Officer
Assist Professional Development and Marketing
Record management of corporate documents
Information management of electronic documentation for legal compliance purposes
Organizes business itineraries and travel and accommodation for the department
Manages and maintains JB Marks diary and schedules
Ensures protocol in receiving and welcoming visitors
Opens, sorts and distributes incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
Reads and analyses incoming memos, submissions and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.

LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR: SERVICES PILLAR
REQUIREMENTS
Matric plus National Diploma in office administration/Paralegal diploma.
3 years’ experience as a Legal Administrator
Sound understanding of trade union movement.
Good communication and writing skills.
Advanced computer literacy.
Good customer relations and impressive telephone etiquette.
Ability to work under stressful conditions.
Good time management skills.
Assertiveness and good interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support functions to the Unit & Legal Officers
Assist Legal Head with the Distribution of cases and keep record thereof
Monitoring of Compliance with NUM Legal Procedure Manual
Monitor the usage of the Legal System and report any none compliance with the system
Maintaining the filing system for the unit
Receive Attorney’s Bills and do Analysis of the trends of expenditure as per the Legal Procedure Manual
Ensure accuracy and authenticity of the bills of the attorneys by checking that there is no repeat and fraudulent billing.

Matric plus Para-legal Diploma coupled with 3 years relevant work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Evaluate and handle cases that are referred to the labour court
Seek and provide legal opinion to all structures of the union
Facilitate Labour Law Legislative Training
Participate in complex negotiations if and when required.

SECRETARIAT PILLAR ADMINISTRATOR
REQUIREMENTS
Matric plus diploma in office administration or Secretarial Course
Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage
Project Coordinating/Management Experience
Report Writing and Research
Experience working in high pressure, demanding environment
Experience managing highly confidential and sensitive material
Experience of multi-tasking and managing deadlines
Experience of being able to implement instructions quickly/ quick turnaround
Proven ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English and other language/s;
Knowledge of Government, Unions, Political Movements and Business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research: Conduct research on all Strategy, Transformation and other Union related subjects to assist the Pillar Head
Providing briefing notes as and when required by the Pillar Head
Assisting Pillar Head with Report compilations, drafting and editing
Diary Management for the Pillar Head: Ensure that meetings are captured and communicated appropriately
Ensuring that meetings do not clash and sufficient time is allocated between meetings for travelling purposes
Ensure that the Pillar Head is adequately briefed and prepared for all meetings
Time Management: Ensure that office hours are adhered to strictly
Ability to undertake work in an organised and timeous fashion
Develop a Quarterly Planner where all Pillar related meetings, including Programmes, Regional Activities etc. are scheduled accurately and communicated
Attend meetings with Pillar Head where required and capture minutes thereof
Project Management:Monitor all Pillar related Project Plans and assist the Pillar Head with accurate logging of all Risk
Coordinate and Collate all progress reports for Review by the Pillar Head
Monitor all deadlines and communicate as instructed
Financial Monitoring and Administration:
Ensuring that all payment submission are managed timeously
Monitoring expenditure and filing all payment requisitions
Booking Flights, Travel and Accommodation for Pillar Head
Information Management:Treat all correspondence with the strictest confidentiality
Ensure prompt responses for all correspondence
Filing of all paperwork, reports, correspondence in an organised and efficient manner.

NATIONAL EDUCATORX2 (Re-advertisement)
REQUIREMENTS
Matric and NQF level 5 qualification in Education, Training and Development
2 -3 years’ experience in Training and Development sector preferably in trade union environment
Valid driver’s license.
2 -3 years’ experience in the Accredited ETD environment, i.e. Learnerships management, as an SDF, Assessor, Moderator, work related to the Seta’s, etc.
Preferably a Skills Development Facilitator, assessor and moderator (registered with the ETDP Seta). If studying towards OD ETDP qualification then must have the relevant training experience
Experience in organizing and managing a training team and/or projects.
Good communication skills and writing skills
Good Presentation skills
Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality
Project Management skills
Accuracy in data analysis / processing (i.e. must be proficient in MS Office)
Knowledge of NQF, SAQA, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, and other legislation related to ETD Practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide and Manage the overall provision of ETD services, policies, and programs, nationally where required
Development of policies
Development of the learning material and facilitation of Political Education
Overall development of training programs, design & develop assessments as well as ensure compliance with standards.
