NUM calls for the Frontier Mining Projects to pay its employees their outstanding salaries

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in Kimberley Region is deeply concerned by the arrogance that is being displayed by the Frontier Mining Projects for refusing to pay its members their outstanding salaries since December 2018.

"The company has failed to pay 400 employees their full salaries since December 2018 and they have failed to give us reason for that. The NUM had a meeting with the company CEO who committed to pay workers their outstanding salaries on the 29th of January 2019 which they failed to fulfill. They further committed paying on the 07-08 February 2019. The NUM is sick and tired of the empty promises and we just want the company to pay its employees their outstanding salaries," said Cornelius Manhe, NUM Kimberley Regional Secretary.

What makes matters worse is that instead of paying our members the company has now charged all 400 employees. The NUM strongly condemn this behavior and request the company to do the right thing to pay our members and withdraw all charges pressed against them.
