NUM concludes a three-year wage deal with Pan African Resources (Evander Gold Mine) today.

The National Union of Mineworkers  (NUM)  signed a  3- year wage agreement today with Pan African Resources (Evander Gold Mine) under the auspices of the Chamber of Mines.

This agreement is effective from the 1st of July 2015 to 30 June 2018

“The NUM wishes to express its sincere gratitude  to its members at Evander Gold Mine for the manner in which they behaved during the negotiation period until they gave us the mandate to sign this agreement. Our members are excited and they gave us the mandate to sign this agreement,” said David Sipunzi, NUM General Secretary.

R700 increase to standard rate of pay

R700 increase to standard rate of pay

6% increase on standard rate of pay or CPI, whichever is greater

6% increase on standard rate of pay or CPI, whichever is greater

Officials B lower (B1-B3)

R700 increase to standard rate of pay

R700 increase to standard rate of pay

R700 increase to standard rate of pay

NUM members at Evander Gold Mine are quite pleased and excited that the wage agreement was concluded without any strike, violence, intimidation and loss of life.
