NUM condemns attempted murder of its regional coordinator

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) condemns in the strongest term the attack on Mzoxolo Poswa , the North East Regional Coordinator last week Friday.

Poswa narrowly escaped death after twelve shots were randomly fired towards him while he was entering his house. Automatic rifle and a shot-gun were used to shoot at him. Fortunately, Comrade Poswa managed to escape without any harm.

As the NUM, we will like to condemn this attempt on the life of our regional coordinator. We are looking forward to the police to institute successful investigations and the immediate arrest of these perpetrators.

We will also want to send our message of support to his family and wish for their fast healing and recovery.
