NUM Press Statement, 05 March 2018
NUM is surprised by the childish and stupid behaviour of Tony Yengeni
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in Highveld Region is perplexed and flabbergasted by the political regurgitation of the so-called Tony Yengeni, he wrote on his twitter handle that our Regional Secretary was mumbling when interviewed on eNCA yesterday.
As the NUM we were not surprised by the childish and stupid behavior of Toni Yengeni who at some stage chose Mercedes Benz over serving the people of South Africa.
His sporadic and sheer attack towards the NUM is informed by the fact that the NUM was the first trade union to pronounce that the current ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa to succeed Jacob Zuma way back in 2016 when it was not fashionable to do so. The same imbecile Tony Yengeni attacked us on Twitter "NUM cannot dictate on us, ANC members will decide who must lead them not the NUM, shaking my big head." Tony Yengeni is politically uncircumcised, the NUM is not a Workerist Union, but a red and revolutionary trade union something that Tony failed to fathom.
His attack towards the NUM is an attack towards Cyril Ramaphosa.Tony is still angry that Ramaphosa is the ANC President, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do as the NUM to make him feel better, we are a nonprofit organisation, if the situation was different we were going to fund-raise and buy Tony a Mercedes Benz.
The same Tony who himself is a mumblist of note stood in the plenary of the 54th National Conference and spewed bile, even after former Secretary-General (SG) comrade Gwede Mantashe gave clarity on a matter of elections this nincompoop saw it fit to speak after the SG and contradicted him. Tony lacks political and revolutionary discipline. He just mumbled and delegates thought that he lost his mind.
Nelson Mandela said: "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived, it is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead."
Tony Yengeni lives a life of being bribed with a Mercedes Benz.
