NUM is worried about the arrest of Impala Workers Provident Fund Trustees

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has noted that seven trustees who are members of the Impala Platinum Workers Provident Fund were arrested last week for alleged corruption. The NUM is highly worried about this latest development. NUM members at Impala Platinum are extremely worried about the alleged corrupt activity and they have been calling us to find out if their money is safe.

We are calling upon Impala Platinum and the board of trustees to tell the public why the seven trustees were arrested. The public and our members want to know the truth why those trustees were arrested.

The seven trustees appeared at the Rustenburg Magistrate Court today and they were given R5000 bail each.
