The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in the Highveld region will embark on a protest march this morning against SPR VANCHEM, the company managing the Vanchem primary vanadium processing facility in South Africa.

The action is being taken due to non-payment of workers' salaries and severe non-compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations. The NUM will not tolerate what it terms "capitalist barbarism" in this company.
