NUM requests the National Commissioner of Police to participate in the investigation case against the Aurora directors.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) calls on the National Commissioner of Police General Riah Phiyega to allow the NUM to participate in the investigation case against the Aurora directors.

The NUM wants to make sure that the investigation must lead to the attachment of the assets that they own. Our members are waiting to be paid the money that is owed to them by these heartless directors.

"The NUM has been fighting the Aurora directors since the inception of the scandal. Our members are the one's who are greatly affected by this scandal. The Aurora directors robbed and stole so much money from our members. We have the obligation as the NUM to defend and represent our members even though they had never been members for five years," said Joseph Montisetsi, NUM Deputy President.

"We feel that at this point in time we cannot neglect them because they are in desperate need of our assistance. They also cannot afford lawyers," Montisetsi added.

The NUM will do whatever it can to make that our members are paid what is due to them.
