Media Alert, 06 November 2024
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is set to sign a wage agreement on Friday the 8th November 2024 on behalf of its members at the Sibanye-Stillwater gold operations.
These followed a fresh mandate received from members during the trade unions labour joint mass meetings conducted on Tuesday where members overwhelmingly accepted the Sibanye-Stillwater’s latest wage offer of R900 for workers in categories 4-8 and 5.5 % for miners, artisans and officials.
The signing ceremony will take place at Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Boksburg.
Members of the media are invited to attend and report about the signing ceremony.
