NUM WOMEN'S STRUCTURE CALLS ON COURT NOT TO GRANT BAIL TO THE MURDERER OF NOMBUSO DUBE AND HER MOTHER
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Women's Structure calls upon the court not to grant bail to Sam Radebe who will be appearing at Verlum Magistrate Court in Kwazulu-Natal today. Radebe shot dead Nombuso Dube and her mother on Sunday, 09th October 2018 at their home in Tongaat Kwazulu-Natal. Nombuso Dube was the NUM Kwazulu-Natal Women Structure Regional Treasurer.
“We are living in a sick and cruel society where a life of a woman is easily taken. Violence against women whether being physical, psychological, financial or sexual or any other forms of abuse destroys not only the lives of the families but that of the society as well, said Mathapelo Khanye, NUM Women Structure National Secretary.
"The NUM calls upon all members of the public to support by voicing out and sending a message to the court that NO BAIL should be granted to Sam RADEBE by attending the Verlum Court in Kwazulu-Natal today. It is about time that we make protection of women & children fashionable," Khanye added.
