Professor Mary Metcalfe to address the JB Marks Memorial Lecture tonight.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and the JB Marks Education Trust Fund will host the JB Marks Marks Memorial Lecture tonight at the University of Johannesburg School of Tourism and Hospitality.

The memorial lecture will be addressed by Professor Mary Metcalfe.

Lecture Theme: "The quality vs quality of today's education system in South Africa and the effect it has on the socio-economic future of the country."

JB Marks Education Trust Fund is a comprehensive bursary scheme established by the NUM to fund the tertiary education of its members and their beneficiaries.  The Trust celebrates 20 years this year and has produced a total of 1,121 graduates with varying qualifications in Engineering, Accounting, Science, and Humanities.
