SACP National Treasurer Joyce Moloi-Moropa to deliver a lecture at the Khelina Shoba Memorial Lecture tomorrow in Witbank.

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Highveld Women Structure will hold a Khelina Shoba Memorial Lecture on the 09th of August 2018 under the theme "Women in the forefront, confronting patriarchy and chauvinism". South African Communist Party (SACP) National Treasurer Joyce Moloi-Moropa will deliver a lecture.

Khelina Shoba was the first NUM Highveld Women Structure Secretary when the structure was launched in Highveld. She later became the Regional Treasure and COSATU Provincial Treasure then she was deployed to parliament where she met her death on her first day in parliament.

The memorial lecture in her honour is to acknowledge and celebrate her enormous contributions to the emancipation of women in the mining, Energy and construction sector. She has laid a foundation for advancing for female proletariats rights in male-dominated industries
The memorial lecture will be addressing the following challenges:
1.Patriarchy in workplaces(gender Transformation)
2.Roles of women being undermined
3. Stereotyping the type of work meant for women
